I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years qualified experience of helping people work on recovery, mental health and/or substance use problems.  I have been employed by the NHS and the University of Manchester.  My therapy preferences are Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Mindfulness and Dialectic Behaviour Therapy (DBT).

I offer psychological therapy to help you if you are experiencing problems relating to: anxiety, depression, low self esteem, self harming or self destructive behaviours, substance misuse, dual diagnosis (mental health and substance misuse), obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), psychosis, complex trauma, personality issues.

These problems tend to be linked and people often experience one or more of these issues. Understanding how they fit together can be very helpful and facilitates the process of making changes.

I am an experienced trainer in Motivational Interviewing (Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers, MINT).  I have delivered doctoral level training in Dual Diagnosis (psychosis and substance misuse) I have delivered workshops for the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists (BABCP) and presented at national and international conferences.  I have significant research experience in this area and am also experienced in supervision and consultancy.
