I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with nearly 20 years’ experience. I currently work both in the NHS and private practice.
I work with commonly experienced psychological difficulties such as Depression, Anxiety, panic, stress, and Bereavement and have a specialist interest in clinical health psychology.
I have expertise working with the emotional impact of adjusting to and learning to manage symptoms associated with several long-term physical health conditions, such as persistent pain, Fibromyalgia, HIV, and acquired and progressive neurological conditions.
My interest in the management of physical health conditions has more recently expanded to understanding and managing the longer-term effects of COVID-19 for example, pain, fatigue, sleep disturbance, loss of concentration, memory issues, and symptoms of depression and anxiety.
I also have an interest in women’s health and supporting women using a non-medical approach to manage menopausal symptoms, for example, anxiety and stress, low mood, hot flushes, night sweats, sleep problems and fatigue.
I use a range of therapeutic models, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT) and Mindfulness.
I am registered and fully accredited with the Health and Care professions Council (HCPC) and the British Psychological Society (BPS).
