I am currently undergoing my training in Humanistic psychotherapy at Metanoia institute. Humanistic therapy involves three different approaches that, among many things, can help develop an insight into whatever you may wish to explore. These can include things in your past or recent present that have had an impact, which can sometimes happen out of our awareness. The benefit of having three approaches to draw from is that it allows me to tailor my approach to each person’s individual needs.

The principles of humanistic psychotherapy aim to help you understand your life and how you want to go forward. In the first few sessions we will explore areas for focus that may include making changes, decisions, improving relationships, getting to know yourself better, or anything else you wish to focus on to aid personal development. I will listen and hold space for whatever you decide to bring. I aim to create an environment of safety, comfort and trust in order for us to be able to create a healthy working alliance. With this in mind, I first of all want to welcome you in having taken this step in your mental health journey.

I abide by the UKCP Code of Ethics and confidentiality.

If you want to know more about humanistic practice, the three approaches involved are Gestalt, Person-centered and Transactional Analysis.
