I am an Integrative Psychotherapist who has recently completed an MSc at the Metanoia Institute. I am also an HCPC-registered Arts Therapist.
The core of my approach is relational. This means that I consider the quality of the relationship to be a key part of our process. As an integrative therapist I may also draw on many different theories – e.g. developmental, psychodynamic, existential, humanistic, neuroscientific – to support my understanding of the issues that you bring. As such, I offer a warm, empathic, listening space, and will tailor my interventions according to your needs.
Sometimes, this may lead to new perspectives or a healthier relationship with yourself and others within your life. I am available for both short- and longer-term work. Sometimes if you are open to this way of working, I might suggest some creative interventions. No artistic experience here is required and clients are sometimes surprised and delighted by the new perspectives and solutions which arise as they tap into different parts of the brain.
I am a member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy and abide by their code and ethics. I am also a Fellow of the Association for Music and Imagery, providing Music Imagery Psychotherapy .
