Chartered Clinical Psychologist
I have worked in the area of mental health and well-being for over twenty-five years.
I have a broad range of experience working with people with a wide range of psychological difficulties including anxiety, Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC), complex needs, depression, substance misuse problems, and trauma. I have worked with adults, young people and their families for the past 25 years.
Alongside working with individuals, I work with couples and families, including the assessment and treatment of complex needs, which may include risk and child protection issues; as well as individual therapy with young people. I also provide consultation to other professionals and supervision to trainee clinical psychologists.
I also provide expert witness services in the areas of family law, criminal law, capacity, and asylum seekers.
I use an integrative therapeutic approach including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT); Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR); Emotion Focussed Therapy (EFT); Motivational interviewing; Mentalisation; solution-focused brief therapy; narrative therapy and other systemic approaches.
My overall approach is to help people discover their own resources to deal with difficult life issues.
