Dr Richard Soppitt has practised as a Consultant Child Psychiatrist since 1998 who has been involved in gold standard ASD diagnostic pathways since 1995, having worked in the West Midlands, Kent and Sussex in the NHS. He currently works in the NHS and has expertise in related conditions that can present with possible ASD features. He has worked with Chailey Clinical Services and Brighton EIS as well as an inpatient consultant at Chalkhill.
Dr Soppitt is not currently undertaking general clinical work but is offering Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC) / Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) assessments alongside Specialist Child and Adolescent Clinical Psychologist, Dr Charlotte FlackHill Dr Soppitt and Dr Flackhill have worked together in a local NHS ASD pathway and have co-authored a paper on ASD and attachment difficulties.
