I am a chartered clinical psychologist with over thirteen years experience of working in mental health. I offer services to adults and young people to find helpful and healing ways forward in order to overcome the challenges that life can often bring. I have experience in working with a wide range of psychological difficulties, including but not limited to; post-traumatic stress and complex trauma, anxiety and low mood, low self-esteem, self-harm, problems associated with loss or change, family conflict, relationship problems, and substance misuse.
My experience spans NHS and non-statutory services for adults, children, and young people with severe and enduring mental health difficulties. Alongside my independent practice, I run a trauma-specialist NHS service in East Sussex working with survivors of sexual violence in addition to offering consultation and reflective practice to a local homelessness service.
I bring warmth and integrity to my work as well as a sense of ease to create a safe space to explore challenges and work towards meaningful change. I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches including; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), Psychodynamic Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy and Mindfulness. I integrate these different approaches according to one’s strengths and struggles. A respectful and compassionate approach is central to my practice, enabling people to connect with their own sense resilience and resources to overcome life challenges and find a sense of ease and balance
